All about books: Reading, Writing, Editing

Hello and Welcome to My Website

Here you’ll find information about me and my books, a few short stories, and information about polishing and editing. I hope, in that mix of material, you will find something of interest. If not, take a look at my blog, but be warned–I’m too busy writing–and editing material for other writers– to post on a regular basis.

For more information about my books and a link to their location on Amazon, click the Mysteries tab.

Would you like to know more about some of the characters from the Wagner-Callender Mystery Series? This free story is about Dave Wheeler.

He’s a house guest at a Houston estate, attending an important event in the lives of old friend. While he’s there, he solves a mystery, but loses a friend. The only good thing to come out of that weekend is meeting Dee Wheeler, a young woman attending a Houston university.

    Hi Chris,

I recently posted a feedback on your Book 1 of the Wagner-Callender Mystery Series and it came back as unacceptable. I’ll copy it here and would like to know where I violated any of the “rules” of Amazon feedback, since I can’t get an answer from them.

‘Well, I started out by reading book 2 first and loved it so much that my next quest was to find book 1. Now, I can’t wait for book 3. You have done a wonderful job, Chris. This book was well thought out, easy to read and follow and a real page turner.

Keep up the good work, I’ll be right here waiting……………….. :)’

All of the requirements of Amazon regarding purchases, etc., have been met and I’m a bit disgruntled at Amazon right now, but thought you might like to know that I truly did enjoy your books.

Dee, I think I may know why Amazon rejected your review. They try to weed out reviews from family and close friends, and in this review, you sound as though you’re talking directly to me, rather than to other readers. From that, they probably assumed that we know each other and rejected your review.

Loved the it in one afternoon. I’m from Sacramento, it was fun knowing all the places you wrote about.

Debbie, I’m so glad you enjoyed the book. I assume you’re talking about the first in the series, “Love, Murder and a Good Bottle of Wine?” I hope you signed up for notifications, because the third book will be out soon. The second is “Snowbound,” which follows Sarah to upstate New York, where she is involved in another mystery. The third, “Haunted by the Innocent,” is about Dee Callender, and is again set in Sacramento. I’m now beginning book four, which is about both Sarah and Dee, again in Sacramento. And, please, if you like the books, leave a review on Amazon. They help other readers find the books. And thank you so much for writing and letting me know you enjoyed the book!
